Welcome to the Senior-Junior Forum (SJF) information page. Senior-Junior Forum is a diverse group of women volunteers, comprised of approximately 120 members with the common goal of improving and serving the community of Wichita Falls. The purpose of the Senior-Junior Forum is to benefit the community through volunteer hours and financial assistance.

Members of the SJF are provided the opportunity to offer their time and talents as individuals or as a group to numerous worthy charities here in our community. Our service hours and monetary support to our service organizations enable us to positively impact our local area. Volunteering is not only a rewarding experience for all of us, but we have fun while we do it.

The Senior-Junior Forum, the service department of the Woman’s Forum, was formed in 1934. The organization founded the Northside Girls Club and supported it to benefit the community until 1985. Since that time, Senior-Junior Forum members have provided service hours and/or financial support for several worthwhile local charities. Successful fundraisers throughout the years have been horse shows, style shows, and variety shows such as The Little Shoppe, Pizzazz, Top of Texas, and Slice of Texas Toast.

Currently, the major fundraiser of the Senior-Junior Forum is the Red River Wine & Beer Festival (https://www.redriverwineandbeerfestival.com/). All of the proceeds from this event directly support our city’s charities, benefiting the community of Wichita Falls. We hope you will join us for this fun and exciting wine and beer-tasting event.

The Senior-Junior Forum also is host to the Annual Woman’s Forum Christmas Tour of Homes. Each year several gracious homeowners in our community will open their decorative houses for the public to see their Christmas spirit. This event continues to grow each year thanks to our community and volunteers.

With the support of our very generous community, the Senior-Junior Forum has had the ability to assist the following organizations in our community over the past ten years: Beacon Lighthouse for the Blind; First Step Inc. (domestic violence and sexual assault center); Kemp Center for the Arts;
Midwestern State University Scholarships; Special Olympics; The Kitchen (formerly Senior Citizens of North Texas Meals on Wheels); Patsy’s House; Wichita County Heritage Society – Kell House Museum.  We invite you to take a look at our community service tab on our website to see where you might find an SJF member volunteering their time.

Members pay dues in the amount of $120.00 which includes dues to The Woman’s Forum.

Senior-Junior Forum holds its general meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at The Forum.
